RN-ICU Nurse Manager

About the role

Provides leadership in developing, managing, and implementing nursing and patient care activities within assigned areas. Collaborates with the nursing team to support organizational initiatives, standardize systems, improve efficiencies, and oversee financial aspects of nursing programs and services. Focuses on integrating performance improvement strategies, advancing nursing business goals, and fostering satisfaction among patients, physicians, and staff. Works cross-departmentally to operationalize nursing integration, develop service lines, and uphold standardized nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads care delivery model development and implementation to enhance patient, family, employee, and provider satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice acts, regulatory standards, and professional standards, promoting transparency and accountability.
• Improves nursing practice quality, administration, and service delivery efficiency.
• Optimizes resource allocation to meet current and future objectives.
• Directs a multidisciplinary team providing competent, compassionate, and efficient care in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN licensure required; specialty certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare trends, legal compliance, managed care, and nursing operations is essential.
