About the role
We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager for an intensive care unit (ICU) at a Magnet® designated hospital. This full-time leadership role involves overseeing a 28-bed ICU caring for Medical, Surgical, Cardiovascular, and Neurological patients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care across multiple units with over 80 FTEs.
- Responsible for administrative duties, staffing, and operational oversight on a 24-hour basis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for diverse age groups, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Collaborate with an Assistant Nurse Manager and foster a culture of excellence and mutual respect.
- Ensure high standards of nursing care and operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and support clinical staff.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
- Promote a patient-centered, inclusive environment aligned with hospital values.
Qualifications
- California RN license.
- Bachelor's degree or in progress.
- Recent clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification is required if working in L&D, NICU, Nursery, or Postpartum.
Preferred qualifications
- Nursing management experience.
- Strong background in critical care nursing.
