RN House Supervisor (PRN)

About the Role

The RN House Supervisor is a registered nurse providing hospital-wide leadership across departments, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and staff mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical, financial, human, and material resources in the absence of leadership, partnering with hospital teams to meet organizational goals.
• Lead and support staff, including department supervisors and charge nurses, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement using performance metrics and evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, proactively addressing risks and fostering a safe work environment.
• Coordinate communications among staff, physicians, patients, and families, and serve as a resource for resolving conflicts and promoting service excellence.
• Manage emergency responses, hospital operations, surge plans, and capacity issues, including on-site command and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid license.
• Leadership experience, preferably in ICU/ER settings.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in performance improvement, Lean Six Sigma principles, and change management.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and prioritize patient safety and operational needs.
