About the role

As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, medication management, and help patients maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Help patients manage medications and medical equipment
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor patients' health and report any changes to healthcare providers
• Ensure patients have access to meals and nutrition
• Help patients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Pass a drug test

Qualifications

• Experience in home health care or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks in various environments
