RN - Head Nurse - Medical/Surgical Observation

Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing unit, ensuring safe and quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. They provide clinical leadership, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the hospital's mission and policies. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and implement change.Guide staff during critical situations, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and improve patient outcomes through innovative processes.Participate in clinical leadership activities including coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and support ongoing learning.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in the current unit or similar setting.Computer literacy is required; additional preferred skills may include ACLS certification.Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is mandatory, with BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
