RN - Head Nurse - Medical/Surgical Observation

Role Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate, and quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Key responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic data, guiding staff during critical situations, evaluating intervention outcomes, and implementing innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes. They participate in leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations while fostering a culture of lifelong learning. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, RN licensure, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred Skills Include Computer Literacy And ACLS Certification. The Head Nurse works closely with management to ensure goal attainment and high-quality patient care.
