About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, using appropriate age- and population-specific standards. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinates care, performs resident assessments, provides education, and delivers various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job descriptions, skills, resident needs, and delegate competence. Ensures safe, reliable care and resolution of concerns. Functions within the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice and licensure.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver care.
- Demonstrate competency in age- and population-specific nursing standards.
- Provide care across preventative, maintenance, diagnostic, and treatment phases.
- Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and deliver education and interventions.
- Serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to assistive personnel based on competence and resident needs.
- Ensure safe, reliable care and address care or service concerns.
- Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, Scope and Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA); Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Pay
Salary range: $32.50–$48.00 per hour. $30,000 sign-on bonus available.
Schedule
- Full-time, 36 hours per week.
- 12-hour night shifts.
- No weekends required unless opting for extra hours.
