About the role

PSI is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support Public, Private, and Charter Schools in the area as a Permanent Substitute Float. This is a fantastic opportunity to impact children's health and well-being while enjoying a flexible work schedule with guaranteed 7 hours per day (even if you work less), no nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no summers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to students in various school settings.
• Assess student health needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Current RN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
• Knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication protocols.
• Preference for school-based or pediatric experience (preferred).
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach — must work effectively with staff, parents, and students.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
• Current CPR certification and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Strong interpersonal skills — ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
