About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator in Interventional Radiology leads staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training within the department. They serve as a clinical resource, mentoring team members, providing bedside coaching, and supporting evidence-based practices. The role involves collaborating with leadership to identify educational needs, develop competencies, and enhance quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver educational programs, skills training, and competency assessments
- Lead orientation and staff development initiatives
- Maintain clinical expertise through direct patient care as needed
- Support specialty certification and professional growth
Requirements
- Current Illinois RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred
- 3-5 years of recent procedural nursing experience (Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab)
- Previous education or staff development experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS; specialty certification or willingness to obtain within a year
