RN Educator, Interventional Radiology

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education for nurses and clinical staff in Interventional Radiology.
• Mentor staff, provide bedside coaching, and support evidence-based nursing practices.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify educational needs, develop competencies, and enhance quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Design and deliver training programs, skills development, and competency assessments to promote professional growth and specialty certification.
• Maintain clinical expertise through direct patient care when needed, promoting excellence in nursing practice.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Illinois RN license; BSN required, Master's preferred.
• 3-5 years of recent procedural nursing experience (Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, etc.).
• Previous education, preceptor, or staff development experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
• Willingness to obtain specialty certification within one year of eligibility.
