RN Educator - Interventional Radiology

About the Role

This role involves leading and supporting educational initiatives, mentoring staff, and maintaining clinical expertise to advance nursing practices in Interventional Radiology, ensuring high standards of patient care and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education within the Interventional Radiology department.
• Serve as a clinical resource by mentoring staff, providing bedside coaching, and supporting evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify educational needs, develop competencies, and enhance quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Design and deliver training programs and skills assessments.
• Support professional development and maintain clinical expertise through direct patient care.
• Promote nursing excellence within the department.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's preferred).
• 3-5 years of procedural nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Specialty certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
