About the role
As the Director of Health Services, you will lead the clinical team in providing excellent care for residents receiving assisted living services. You will organize, direct, implement, and evaluate the clinical program to deliver exceptional resident care and services in line with regulations and clinical best practices. The ideal candidate is an RN with a passion for supportive team development, delivering a high standard of care, and leaving a lasting positive impact. The Director of Health Services reports directly to the Director of Housing and supervises clinical team members (RN, LPNs, and Caregivers).
We offer an after-hours RN team that triages all calls evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, allowing you to enjoy the work-life balance you deserve. Additionally, we are offering up to a $10,000 bonus.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial assessment of potential Independent and Assisted Living residents
- Create and implement individual Care Plan for each resident
- Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocate on their behalf
- Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel, and family regarding residents’ current needs and health status
- Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas
- Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes
- Oversee ordering, setup, and administration of all medications
- Fulfill staffing requirements for the nursing department, including hiring, evaluation, and scheduling
- Provide health and medication training to all nursing personnel, as well as continued education, and document teaching and training to ensure compliance with current regulations
- Oversee and conduct supervision of nursing staff, including employee guidance, coaching, and discipline to maintain a high standard of care and a positive work environment
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current licensure with the MN State Board of Nursing
- Experience in Senior Housing, Assisted Living, or Home Care required
- Familiarity with Assisted Living rules and regulations
- Experience in supervising staff preferred
- Working knowledge of electronic health records
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department
Pay
Wage range: $90,000 - $108,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus: $10,000.
