RN Director of Health Services DHS 10000 Bonus
Emerald Crest of Minnetonka, a Cassia memory care community, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Health Services (DHS) to lead the clinical team in Minnetonka, MN. This full-time, benefits-eligible position offers a supportive team environment, professional growth, and a $10,000 bonus.
About the role
As the Director of Health Services, you will lead the clinical team in providing excellent care for 40 residents receiving memory care services. You will organize, direct, implement, and evaluate the clinical program to deliver exceptional resident care in line with regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate is an RN with a passion for team development, high standards of care, and making a positive impact. This role reports directly to the Director of Housing and supervises nurses and caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial assessment of potential Memory Care residents
- Create and implement individual Care Plan for each resident
- Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocate on their behalf
- Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel, and family regarding residents’ current needs and health status
- Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas
- Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes
- Oversee ordering, setup, and administration of all medications
- Fulfill staffing requirements for the nursing department, including hiring, evaluation, and scheduling
- Provide health and medication training to all nursing personnel, document teaching, and ensure compliance with current regulations
- Oversee and conduct supervision of nursing staff, including guidance, coaching, and discipline to maintain high standards of care
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current licensure with the MN State Board of Nursing
- Previous experience working in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care setting
- Familiarity with Assisted Living rules and regulations
- Experience in supervising staff preferred
- Working knowledge of electronic health records
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere
