RN - CSU - Night Shift
About the role
The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) of Lakeview Center serves as an acute-care inpatient psychiatric facility for persons with mental health or co-occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The CSU is 24-hour continuous operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals admitted to the facility under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. The unit serves individuals 18 years of age and older. Services are designed and implemented to support the recovery, health or well-being of the persons or families served, to reduce symptoms, or needs, and to build resilience and restore, or improve functioning.
Responsibilities
- Perform work requiring advanced knowledge (License) and use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client-centered therapeutic services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients.
- Serve as a consultant and mentor to other medical/non-medical direct care employees.
- Ensure services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to LCI and division standards.
- Provide assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services using specialized knowledge and skills and manage client risk and safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
- Ability to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
- Pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Pay
Compensation: Base pay ranges from $27.40 - $33.55 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Shift differential pay $6.00 - $10.00 per hour when applicable.

Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Must have a valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
- Must be certified in CPR.
