RN Clinical Supervisor - Ambulatory Howard Gastroenterology
About the role
As the RN Clinical Supervisor - Ambulatory, you will proactively work towards achieving quality and safety outcomes and assist with overall clinical staff development. You will serve as a clinical lead and resource to all clinical staff in collaboration with the practice manager, including hiring, coaching, training, education, and providing feedback on performance evaluations. Your role will ensure the retention of talent by incorporating proper training and development of low-performing staff. You will collaborate with nursing administration, practice leadership, and other administrative staff to create efficient clinical services, implement process improvements, and assist in quality initiatives. Additionally, you will assist with rooming patients and triage as needed, while adhering to established quality principles and standards. This position covers Gastroenterology and GI clinics in Anderson, Kokomo, Pendleton, and Westfield.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise clinical staff, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure retention of talent through training and development initiatives.
- Collaborate with nursing administration and practice leadership to improve clinical services and implement quality initiatives.
- Assist with rooming patients and triage as needed.
- Maintain adherence to established quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- 3 years of medical office experience required.
- 2 years of clinical supervision or lead experience preferred.
- Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience.
- Able to maintain strong internal and patient/staff relations.
- Accountable and self-directed.
