RN Supervisor - Gastroenterology

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participates in patient care activities and adheres to requirements of a Registered Nurse when providing direct patient care.
  • Makes sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all members of the healthcare delivery system, assisting physicians with their in-baskets and making patient calls when needed.
  • Considers needs of the department, preplanning, and proactively adjusting as needed.
  • Maintains medical record documentation that is legible, concise, and accurate, timely.
  • Communicates all important facts to Administrator and Manager.
  • Ensures specific appropriate patient education. Completion of required forms.
  • Maintains active professional relationships with doctors/co-workers and patients by assessing needs and levels of satisfaction with the Cardiology clinic and its diagnostic departments.
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Serves as a role model to other staff.
  • Supervise and motivate a work team while maintaining highest company standards.
  • Administers clinical staff work schedule.
  • Manages all aspects of clinical policies and protocols.
  • Provides feedback to address processing issues.
  • Responds to provider inquiries.
  • Responsible for the flow of patient care in the office.
  • Motivates people and leads by example with a positive attitude that's professional, courteous, and cheerful.
  • Complies with local, State, and Federal rules and regulations and accreditation guidelines as evidenced by:
  • Reporting 100% of regulatory concerns or unusual occurrences to supervisor nurse within 24 hours of occurrences.
  • Notifying administrator immediately when patient injury or disaster occurs.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
  • Valid and current New York RN license.
  • Certified BLS through American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Outpatient clinic experience.
  • GI experience.
  • Windows-based computer skills and EMR experience.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
