RN, Clinical Educator
Location: Milwaukee, WI (on-site at Froedtert Hospital)
Full-time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours/week, Shift 1 (0800–1600), no holidays or weekends
About the role
Responsible for assessing learning needs and learning performance/competence of staff in assigned clinical area(s). In collaboration with key stakeholders, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education using best available evidence to meet identified learning needs of staff including onboarding, competency, regulatory education, supporting professional development, and just-in-time education. Acts as collaborative partner and educational leader, facilitator, instructor, subject-matter expert, change agent, mentor, consultant, and advocate. Partners with System Educator-RN to identify and develop specialty-area education. Deploys Froedtert Health system education/programming at the local/specialty department level. Teaches Froedtert Health, site, and department/specialty-based classes/courses as assigned.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent applicable clinical practice experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in an informal or formal leadership capacity (e.g., Preceptor, Charge RN, Governance Council Chair, leader)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating NLC state
- AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days
- Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) certification OR Master’s in Nursing Education, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field within 3 years of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying adult learning principles and instructional/curriculum design
- Experience precepting or training in a clinical setting
- Master’s degree in Nursing (preferably Education focus), Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field
