As an RN Clinical Educator, you'll design and deliver training programs, support clinical competency, onboard new caregivers, and promote evidence-based practices that enhance quality, safety, and patient outcomes. Schedule

The position is fully onsite with standard workdays Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours may vary, and weekend work may be required as needed for training purposes. There is no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
  • Maintains training records of educational activities in the Learning Management System or similar system.
  • Applies evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring care is delivered based on patient’s age-specific and clinical needs.
  • Demonstrates professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model as an SSM Health nurse.
  • Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to evolving health and nursing needs of patients and populations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Three years of registered nurse experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication; ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or Registered Nurse (RN) issued by Compact State

  • Registered Nurse (RN) issued by Compact State or Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
