RN - Acute Care Surgical Specialty

About the Role

Provides comprehensive direct patient care in specialty acute care units, utilizing nursing processes within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-of-scope nursing practice, prioritizing patient safety and evidence-based care.
  • Model proficiency through precepting and contribute to a secure safety and quality environment.
  • Support specialty education and training, especially in moderate to high acuity settings, with guidance from clinical educators.

Key Duties

  • Direct patient care in acute settings.
  • Adherence to evidence-based practices.
  • Supporting new staff.
  • Contributing to safety and quality initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (if less than 3 years of experience).
  • Active RN license.
  • At least 6 months of RN experience.
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.
