About the role
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on a dynamic unit where you’ll care for patients across four specialties: Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, and ENT.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients undergoing specialized procedures such as free flap monitoring for breast reconstruction after mastectomy, and providing patient and family education following urinary diversion surgeries.
- Work in a unit that offers excellent experience with airway management, including new tracheostomies, for RNs who may want to work in the critical care setting in the future.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team that supports and educates patients and families.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience for ICU positions.
- Relevant RN experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Preferred Relevant Certification.

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
90% FTE, evening/night shift. Two (2) in six (6) weekends rotation. Holidays required. Hours are based off of the operational needs of the department.
