RN Surgical Acute Care

About the role

Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, utilizing the nursing process to deliver top-of-scope practice. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes, prioritizing wellness, safety, and evidence-based practices. Supports and mentors new staff, embraces ongoing learning, and contributes to quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in specialty acute care units, including Med-Surg, following evidence-based models and specialty certification standards.
• Clinical educators assist with competency validation and ongoing education.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (required if less than 3 years' experience).
• Current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 6 months of RN experience.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.
