RN - Acute Care - Orthopedic Surgery - Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN - Acute Care - Ortho Surgical provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They practice according to evidence-based standards, uphold the nursing scope of practice, and support service excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care.Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive patient care, engaging patients and families through effective communication and education.Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and documentation.Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.Support resource management and develop protocols to improve patient outcomes.Mentor and serve as a preceptor to promote workforce development.Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, standards, and safety requirements. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and time management skills.Proficiency in technology and documentation systems; ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments.
