About the Role
Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care - Ortho Surgical, working part-time night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered care through the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, communicate openly with patients and families, and promote cultural competence.
- Lead and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Support professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold organizational policies and standards.
- Contribute to protocol development, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize resource utilization.
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based nursing care and foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in quality improvement and research.
- Support resource management and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (preferred).
- Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Current BLS certification (required upon hire).
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies professionally.
