RN Acute Care - Neuro - PRN Night Shift

About the role

This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an acute neuro care setting, functioning as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking.
• Delivering culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to patient needs and involving families and significant others in care planning.
• Ensuring safe, high-quality care through effective documentation, communication, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Participating in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to promote best practices and system-wide quality standards.
• Serving as a preceptor or mentor to foster a competent, professional nursing workforce.
• Promoting evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to organizational policies, legal, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current nursing licensure and knowledge of Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team and support performance improvement efforts.
• Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
