About the role

6 months of work at the IES Racktory site in Altoona, IA, installing data center cabling and equipment (fiber optics, racks, cable trays) and preparing equipment for installation into new build data centers. This is a fully onsite contract position.

Responsibilities

• Install data center cabling and equipment – fiber optics, racks, cable trays
• Prepare equipment for installation into new build data centers

Requirements

• Former military experience or veterans able to complete a 2‑week Fiber Optics installation boot camp
• Completed a training class in fiber optics and datacenter building phase
• Lead Level Technician experience
• Previous experience installing fiber optics equipment with ability to supervise teams of technicians
• Experience in data center build projects
• Entry‑level position

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00 per hour.
