About the role

The Sales Manager will play a key role in driving revenue across all segments, including corporate, group, and social events. This position is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to be part of a pre-opening team. The Sales Manager will work closely with hotel leadership to establish market presence, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and secure new business across corporate, group, and social segments
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and event planners
  • Support the execution of the hotel’s sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Conduct site tours, client meetings, and presentations to showcase the hotel’s offerings
  • Manage and respond to RFPs, inquiries, and leads in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with revenue management and operations teams to optimize pricing and availability
  • Assist with pre-opening sales initiatives, including market research, account development, and brand positioning
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, accounts, and pipeline within CRM systems
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, and community engagement opportunities
  • Ensure a seamless transition of booked business to operations, maintaining high service standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably in a full-service or upscale property
  • Pre-opening experience is a plus, with the ability to contribute to building a sales strategy from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales segments, including corporate, group, and catering/event business
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a client-focused approach
  • Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with sales systems such as Tripleseat, Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, or similar CRM tools preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest and client experiences

$80,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
