Summary: The Retail Fulfillment Center (RFC) Operations Supervisor leads and develops a team of Ashley Associates with focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching the team to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and productivity. This position is responsible for engaging the team and providing associates with the tools needed for success while driving productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem solving. The RFC Supervisor is accountable for all safety, quality, productivity, process improvement, and performance management for the assigned process path. Responsibilities:Safety Leadership & OSHA ComplianceChampion safety programs and OSHA compliance; conduct safety walks, validate incidents, and document findingsLead safety meetings, training, and process improvement events to reduce workplace hazardsInvestigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and enforce PPE use and safety protocolsInventory Integrity & ControlControl inventory accuracy through systematic monitoring, auditing, and cycle countingPartner with Inventory leadership to address gaps and create action plans for systemic issuesTrain team members on proper inventory handling and documentation proceduresProcess Improvement & Continuous ImprovementLead Kaizens, system upgrades, safety blitzes, and efficiency initiativesCoach LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies; validate and quantify financial gainsImplement best practices to optimize workflows and track improvement metricsCross-Functional Collaboration & CompliancePartner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective flow, quality standards, and regulatory complianceCollaborate with Quality, Safety, HR, and Inventory to optimize operations and close process gapsTeam Leadership & Employee DevelopmentMake employment decisions including hiring, promotions, corrective actions, and terminationsManage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and trainingAudit SOPs, maintain time-keeping records, and facilitate employee growth through meetings and learning opportunitiesFoster a positive team environment focused on accountability and engagementResource Management & OptimizationOptimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials to meet operational demandsMonitor costs, productivity metrics, and staffing levels; coordinate equipment maintenanceCore Values DemonstrationDemonstrate Company Core and Growth Values; model expected behaviors and hold team accountable Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMinimum 2-3 years of experience in distribution center, warehouse, or logistics operationsPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience preferredStrong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shippingKnowledge of inventory management principles and accuracy improvement techniquesExcellent leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop employeesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making approachExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse safety best practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesPhysical ability to walk distribution center floors, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs as neededAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs requireAdditional Qualifications, Preferred:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field3-5 years of distribution center supervisory experience in retail, furniture, or manufacturing distributionExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or similar platformsExperience with performance metrics, KPI tracking, and data analysis Work Environment:This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety-sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
