Our client is a practice services entity providing non-clinical, business support services to specialty dental practices across the United States. They address the need for specialized administrative support within endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery practices, supporting over 225 locations in 28 states to facilitate operational efficiency and growth.

About the role

The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a critical role in managing the financial processes related to patient billing and collections. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving issues with missed payments, denied claims, and collections to optimize revenue flow. The role contributes to the organization by improving claims processing accuracy, reducing accounts receivable days, and ensuring timely resolution of payment discrepancies to support financial stability.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve healthcare claims through inquiries with insurance payers.
  • Utilize healthcare provider software systems effectively.
  • Verify accuracy of patient, insurance, billing, and claim submission information.
  • Conduct eligibility inquiries and coordinate benefits research.
  • Research missing payments and obtain necessary documentation for posting.
  • Manage insurance claim billing and handle claims across all aging categories.
  • Resubmit claims and coordinate with offices to collect missing information.
  • Manage claim denials by investigating and resolving issues promptly.
  • Make appropriate payment adjustments.
  • Retrieve EFT backup documentation as needed.
  • Communicate with relevant departments to address payment posting issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in multisite remote revenue cycle management support.
  • Expert knowledge of revenue cycle management processes and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.

Pay

Salary range: $55,000 to $70,000 per annum.
