Revenue Cycle Lead

Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Lead is responsible for providing oversight, analysis, and subject matter expertise across the hospital and clinic revenue cycle. This position focuses on optimizing reimbursement, reducing claim denials, ensuring compliance with payer requirements, and strengthening coordination between clinical departments, billing partners, and the finance team. The Revenue Cycle Lead also serves as a key liaison to support patient financial advocacy, helping patients and families navigate insurance coverage, authorizations, and financial assistance options. This role plays a critical part in protecting organizational revenue while supporting a positive, patient-centered financial experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in hospital or clinic billing, revenue cycle management, patient accounting, or related healthcare finance roles.

• Strong working knowledge of insurance reimbursement, payer policies, prior authorization requirements, and claim denial processes.

• Experience analyzing denial trends and payer behavior.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and healthcare billing or patient accounting systems.

• Knowledge of hospital information systems and clearinghouses preferred.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Ability to manage complex issues, multiple priorities, and sustained follow-up efforts.
