Returns Associate

About the role

Process all returned merchandise to be exchanged, returned to stock, returned to the manufacturer, donated, or discarded in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Compare merchandise with original requisition and customer feedback to identify reason for return, including incorrect item, quantity mismatch, or a defect in merchandise.
• Call or email customers as needed to obtain additional information concerning their return and/or for placing an exchange order.
• Inspect merchandise to determine disposition of item.
• Pull order up in GQ System and process for credit and/or exchange.
• Complete all forms required for returned goods.
• Package and label merchandise to be entered back into stock.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with experience talking with customers via phone or email (preferred).
• Experience with personal computers and software programs, including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel), email, and internet.
• Ability to learn internal order management software.
• Ability to meet productivity standards with accuracy and quality.
• Professional communication skills.
• Sense of urgency.
• Ability to follow standard operating processes.
• Great attendance record.
• Willingness to work overtime as business dictates.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, stand for the duration of the shift, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, squat, pull, push, carry, and perform other physical actions required to complete job functions.
• Ability to research, troubleshoot, and make quick decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous returns experience preferred.
