Retirement Benefits Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor will oversee the Benefits Payment business unit within the Retirement Department. The Benefits Payment team is responsible for the distribution and reconciliation of benefits for all retirement funds. Core functions include processing benefit payment setups and tax deductions, administering fraud prevention initiatives, and coordinating tax statement distribution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members by assigning work, maintaining a professional office environment, and monitoring performance.
• Execute tactical plans developed by management to support departmental goals and objectives.
• Respond promptly to written and telephone inquiries from government agencies, auditors, joint boards, attorneys, and participants.
• Generate reports and data exports from Salesforce and Vitech on a weekly basis to monitor team metrics and operational performance.
• Onboard and train new staff, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
• Oversee the Year-End Tax process and Vacation Check process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Provide operational support and oversight for the Communication Management and Document Management teams to ensure effective mailing campaigns, timely document intake, and efficient workflow coordination.

Requirements

• 3-4 years prior experience, preferably with Pension in the past
• High School degree required, Bachelor's preferred

Pay

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $29.81/hr.
