Retail Team Lead - Sales
About the role
As a Retail Sales Team Lead, you will greet and assist customers, maintain in-stock merchandise, uphold an organized and clean sales floor, promote the Northern Tool credit card program, sell extended service protection plans on qualifying items, and support the management team with day-to-day store operations. Your positive and professional attitude contributes to our winning culture and ensures a hassle-free experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, professional service to best serve customer needs.
- Lead customer engagement and sales efforts while actively performing as a sales representative.
- Maintain a neat and orderly store environment, including merchandising, planograms, product displays, and stocking shelves.
- Lead by example, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Support store leadership by serving as Floor Leader (an average of 25% of time) and opening/closing the store.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor store employees.
- Flexible availability, including willingness to work some weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Service-focused mindset.
- A love of tools and equipment.

Pay
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $22.50, personalized based on skills, experience, and location.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. Stores are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with reduced hours on five other federal holidays.
