Retail Supervisor - UNC Stone and Leaf Cafe
About the role
The Food Retail and Brand Location Supervisor oversees the food service operation, ensuring appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. This position requires previous supervisory experience and familiarity with the food and hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of setup, breakdown, and sanitation of workstations
- Supervision of cooking and preparation of food items according to recipes and brand requirements
- Maintenance of safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage environments
- Accurate inventory management according to departmental policies
- Delegation of tasks to employees as needed
- Performance coaching and feedback to staff members
- Assistance with manager-led employee counseling sessions, timekeeping, and contact information maintenance
- Training and mentoring of other food service workers
- Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a positive demeanor
- Maintaining compliance with Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation
- Effective communication with staff through various means
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred
- Prior experience in the food and hospitality industry required
- Strong leadership, time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively
- Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn new technology systems
