Retail Stylist/Sales Associate - Part time

About the role

Description Hammer Made is a growing Minneapolis-based men’s clothing designer with a distinctive collection of limited-run shirts, apparel and accessories. This position is located at the Mall of America.

Responsibilities

• Achieve Sales Results
• Create a positive, friendly, and consultative service-oriented customer environment that prioritizes customer relationships and sets Hammer Made apart from other stores.
• Drives personal daily and weekly sales results to meet monthly targets.
• Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures; escalates issues as appropriate.
• Offers suggestions to the leadership team about how to improve daily sales trends.
• Operational Expectations
• Ensures company standards of neat, clean and organized sales floor, cash wrap and fitting room areas are met.
• Takes part in visual merchandising initiatives.
• Helps execute and ensures a top quality, appealing, merchandise assortment that promotes effective sales and store traffic.
• Aids in promoting in-store events and promotions to increase the customer base, with particular focus on building the Hammer Made brand.
• Collaborates effectively with other store locations and is willing to help out as needed at other Hammer Made stores in the Twin Cities if needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma
• 1-2 years of successful retail experience and/or customer service experience, preferred

Work Environment

This job operates in a retail store environment. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical requirements include: standing and being mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time, walking, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position with hours scheduled at variable times and days each week to meet business needs. Schedule includes days and weekend hours (approx 16 hrs per week).
