Retail Store Designer - Interior Design & Store Planning
Job Description
The Retail Designer is responsible for producing retail store designs, including floor plans and storefront elevations, in accordance with established design guidelines and standards.
- Produces designs (from floor plans to storefront elevations), according to particular design guidelines and standards.
- Produces material takeoffs and communicates parts/takeoff revisions to the Construction team.
- Generates ideas for new concepts including store architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layout, and space planning.
- Assists in the review of construction drawings for design intent.
- Presents designs to leadership to solicit, analyze, and incorporate feedback.
- Reviews site information from landlords and drawings from consultants.
- Solves all design guidance to purchasing and construction teams.
Must Have Skills/Attributes
- Adobe Acrobat
- Adobe InDesign
- AutoCAD
- Design Experience
- Desired: Retail design experience (2-5 yrs); Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD, MS office (2-5 yrs)
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) institution or equivalent experience.
Work Model
- Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week
- Shift: 9AM to 5PM EST
