Retail Stock Associate

About the role

This role supports the moments we create in our stores, with our customers and in our communities by managing stock and ensuring merchandise flows smoothly in and out of the stock area.

Responsibilities

• Execute flow of merchandise in and out of the stock area
• Process all merchandise shipments and immediately report any discrepancies to the Store Manager
• Properly fold or hang all merchandise in the stock area
• Maintain constant awareness of merchandise replenishment needs
• Prepare and process all customer shipments for delivery
• Have complete knowledge of the store's merchandise, back of house, and front of house layout
• Keep the stock area organized, including merchandise supplies and display materials
• Replenish supplies as requested by management
• Assist with cleaning or maintenance issues on the sales floor or in the stock room
• Complete all transfers, markdowns, and consolidations accurately
• Participate in inventory preparations and the actual inventory process
• Assist with visual directives and the floorset process
• Support the visual team with store floorset as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of related experience; retail experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead in a team environment
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong time management and project skills
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
• Must be able to work an entire shift standing and walking
• Must be able to pack, unpack, and move stock

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional sales experience in specialty or luxury retail and/or customer service experience

Special Physical and Mental Requirements

• Repetitive hand motion while operating cash register or computer
• Regularly interact with the public in a crowded and noisy store environment
• Stand for the entire work shift
• Operate office equipment (computers, phone, fax, scanner, and copier)
• Work weekend and night shifts
• Climb ladders as needed
• Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds
