Overview The Retail Sales Representative I is a customer-facing role responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory. This position supports retailers by optimizing product inventory, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies, and maintaining strong working relationships to maximize performance across retail locations. Territory is all of Houston. Responsibilities Execute daily route coverage within an assigned territoryManage and optimize product inventory, displays, and in-store presentationAdjust inventory mix through transfers or returns based on retailer needs and performanceSupport the development and execution of sales plans to drive district-level growthEnsure product availability meets retailer and customer demand at all points of distributionActively recruit new retailers to expand market presence and increase salesReview sales performance and key metrics with retailers on a regular basisCommunicate and implement sales initiatives, organizational strategies, and best practicesAccurately follow all lottery procedures related to ticket pickup, transfer, return, and warehouse processingProcess instant ticket returns using retailer sales terminals per approved lottery proceduresComplete all required paperwork accurately and on timeRespond promptly to retailer questions and follow up on issues as neededAssist lottery personnel with troubleshooting and resolving ongoing retailer concernsBuild and maintain productive working relationships with retailers, lottery personnel, and internal partnersPrepare reports and assist with data analysis as requested by Sales ManagementAdhere to assigned route schedules and assist with additional projects as needed Qualifications Required / Preferred Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferredAt least one (1) year of retail or wholesale sales experience preferredProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint experience is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adjust communication style for a variety of audiencesStrong planning, organization, and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and manage territory responsibilities autonomously Work Requirements Must reside within the region of the assigned officeExtensive daytime travel using a company-provided vehicleAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsValid driver’s license required Success Profile Leading Complexity Leading People Leading the Business Leading Self At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $56,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
