Retail Representative I - Hospitality
About the role
As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. You will assist customers with their inquiries, process transactions, and help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with their inquiries, including finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point of sale or other software/hardware.
- Maintain a clean and organized store by performing tasks such as stocking shelves, straightening merchandise, and cleaning displays and surfaces.
- Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with inventory counts, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Meet or exceed sales goals by promoting and upselling products, as well as providing excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and supporting other team members as needed.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Comfortable with basic math and the use of electronic devices, such as cash registers and scanners.
- Flexible to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders to reach products or displays.
