Retail Pharmacist

About the role

As a Senior Retail Pharmacist, you will accurately dispense prescribed medication to patients. You will work assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You will ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques, and a review process before shipping medications to patients. You will operate in a high-volume environment, supporting the accurate delivery of medications to a primarily elderly customer population.

You will begin to influence the department's strategy and contribute to process improvements that enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency. You will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components and perform work with minimal direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments while maintaining a focus on quality, accuracy, and service excellence for our members.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medication accurately to patients.

• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and accurate tracking techniques.
• Review medications before shipping to patients.
• Support accurate delivery of medications in a high-volume environment.
• Influence department strategy and contribute to process improvements.
• Make decisions on technical approaches for project components with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or PharmD.
• Active Pharmacist license with the Board of Pharmacy in Florida.
• Certified to administer immunizations.
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs.
• 1 or more years of pharmacy experience (preferably retail).
• Proficient with computers.

Skills

• Bilingual in English/Spanish with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages without limitations or assistance.
• Experience in a high-volume mail order and/or retail setting.
• Self-directed but also able to work well in a group.
• Knowledge of Rx30 and Nrx/QS1.

Physical Requirements

• Tolerate, handle, and work around all pharmaceutical products throughout work time.
• Dexterity to continuously twist and grasp items.
• Reach above waist and shoulders frequently.
• Bend below waist and twist frequently.
• Stand during entire work shift.
• Lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, and squat throughout work time.

Schedule

8-hour shift, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (based on business needs). Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Pay

The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.

$115,200 - $158,400 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
