Retail Media Manager
Brief Description
Backyard Discovery is seeking a Retail Media Manager to oversee retail media strategy and execution across major retailer marketplaces. This role involves partnering with account managers and cross-functional teams to enhance discoverability, digital shelf performance, and conversion rates on websites like Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, Sam’s Club, Costco, and others.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, launch, and optimize sponsored advertising campaigns across major retail media networks, including Amazon Ads, Home Depot Retail Media+, Lowe’s Advertising, Wayfair Media Solutions, Sam’s Club MAP, Costco, and others.
- Manage bids, budgets, keywords, targeting, creative placements, and campaign performance to support growth, efficiency, ROAS, ACOS, and account-level goals.
- Monitor and improve digital shelf performance, including share-of-search, content quality, ratings and reviews, buy box signals, product availability, and conversion readiness.
- Partner with account managers to align media plans with retailer promotional calendars, line reviews, merchandising priorities, seasonal opportunities, and account strategies.
- Own retail media budget allocation across accounts, including co-op and MDF funds where applicable.
- Build and maintain reporting on spend, ROAS/ACOS, share-of-search, incremental sales, digital shelf health, and recommendations by retailer.
- Identify opportunities to scale, reduce spend, test new tactics, and improve digital shelf execution.
- Run structured tests on bidding strategies, ad types, content, targeting, and placements to improve performance over time.
- Stay current on evolving retailer advertising products, tools, capabilities, and best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience managing retail media or ecommerce PPC campaigns, including ownership of campaigns, budgets, reporting, and optimization.
- Deep experience with Amazon Ads, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.
- Experience with additional retailer media networks such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wayfair, Sam’s Club, Costco, Walmart, Target, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with ROAS, ACOS, share-of-search, incrementality, budget pacing, and performance reporting.
- Experience managing physical, considered-purchase, or big-ticket products online preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with sales, ecommerce, marketing, analytics, and leadership teams.
- Experience with tools such as Pacvue, Skai, Helium 10, Salsify, Syndigo, Bazaarvoice, PowerReviews, or similar platforms is a plus.
