Retail Full Time Store Supervisor
The Retail Store Supervisor at Office Depot is a full-time role focused on delivering comprehensive solutions to customers across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This position involves building and maintaining customer relationships, demonstrating passion for the brand and products, and driving sales using Office Depot’s proven sales principles. The role supports a customer-centric environment, community engagement, and alignment with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. Supervisors also train associates on Technology products, selling techniques, and services while working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Full-time Supervisors may perform External Key Carrier duties, such as opening and closing responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
- Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
- Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
- Use communication tools to request assistance on the sales floor and coordinate customer engagement.
- Evaluate customer needs to determine the total solution.
- Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates.
- Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
- Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust.
- Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding associate performance, certification(s), and competencies.
- Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
- Ensure regular loss prevention compliance and assist the General Manager in coaching associates for improved performance.
- Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including alarm activation/deactivation, cash handling, and daily store balancing.
- Fulfill responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus.
- 1–3 years of related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including use of relevant equipment and POS systems.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $15 to $16 per hour, with adjustments to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws. Eligible employees may participate in an incentive program, paid according to the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.
