The Retail Store Supervisor at Office Depot is a full-time position focused on delivering comprehensive solutions to customers across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role emphasizes building and maintaining customer relationships, driving sales, and fostering a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. The Store Supervisor also trains associates on Technology products, selling techniques, and services while working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. External Key Carrier responsibilities, such as opening and closing the store, may also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Service Excellence:
    • Foster a culture of trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service.
    • Utilize Office Depot’s selling program to promote solutions and additional products/services.
    • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
    • Educate customers about Office Depot products and services.
    • Coordinate customer engagement and assistance across the sales floor.
    • Evaluate customer needs to determine the best total solution.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Provide guidance, direction, and training to store associates, including Print Services.
    • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
    • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency.
    • Provide performance feedback to the General Manager regarding associates.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to procedures and visual merchandising standards.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
    • Ensure loss prevention compliance and guide associates on performance improvements.
    • Contribute to sales growth through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • External Key Carrier Responsibilities:
    • Maintain building and associate safety during manager absences.
    • Ensure loss prevention compliance in partnership with all associates.
    • Perform opening and closing duties, including alarm activation/deactivation, cash handling, and daily store balancing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus.
  • 1–3 years of related experience in retail, sales, customer-facing, or supervisory roles.
  • Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including relevant equipment and POS systems.

  • Comfortable using technology and systems for daily responsibilities.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $10.74 to $17.83 per hour, with adjustments made to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws. The company offers competitive salaries, a benefits package (including a 401(k)), and opportunities for growth within the organization. Eligible employees may participate in an incentive program, paid according to the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
