Retail Counter Sales/Relief Driver (CDL Driver w/Hazmat)

Responsibilities

• Build Relationships: You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, whether they walk through the door or call on the phone. You'll use your expert knowledge to understand their unique needs and guide them to the right products.
• Drive Growth: This isn't just about taking orders. You'll actively engage in inside sales, helping customers assess their needs, providing quotes, and using your problem-solving skills to find the perfect solution.
• Ensure a Smooth Operation: You'll be the one who keeps the store running smoothly. From organizing merchandise on the shelves to processing sales in our system, your attention to detail will ensure every customer experience is efficient and positive.
• Be a Reliable Backup: Your Class B CDL is key to this role. When a regular driver is out, you'll step in to safely and reliably deliver essential gases and welding products to our clients. You'll be a critical part of our delivery network.

Requirements

• Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements.
• One (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last three years).
• In lieu of experience, may consider a diploma from an accredited driving school within the past 12 months.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to learn and effectively navigate through the sales platform, SAP (preferred).

Pay

$27 per hour, with potential for two bonuses paid each quarter.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm.
