Retail Branch Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing and directing the activities of the Store/Branch, including supervision of personnel, coordination of company policies, purchasing, order fulfillment, and inventory management. Accountable for operational results and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of Store/Branch personnel involved with fluid power, connectors, and industrial products.
• Perform customer services: order entry, price and delivery information, quotations, inquiries, and expediting.
• Plan, assign, assist, and direct the work of store personnel; instruct in proper methods and procedures.
• Conduct employee performance reviews; recommend hiring, transfers, terminations, and wage adjustments.
• Monitor, follow up, and take corrective action on employee performance and conduct issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and practices.
• Receive and review inquiries and orders; verify correct identification of parts and assemblies.
• Price items using established Tribute pricing and other practices as directed by management.
• Purchase non-stock items to meet sales order requirements; obtain price and delivery quotations and place purchase orders.
• Receive purchased material; check for proper identification, quantities, and shipping damage; note discrepancies and sign for receipt.
• Place newly received material in proper BIN locations and update inventory records.
• Ensure all inventory items are properly identified and BIN located; maintain accurate inventory records through periodic inventory and cycle counts.
• Work with purchasing and warehouse teams on factory returns, inventory levels, and resolving cycle count or daily warehouse activity questions.
• Maintain all required records, logs, and reports; reconcile the cash sale account weekly using ROQ and CSPAY reports to deposit cash and checks.
• Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Fill customer orders for over-the-counter sales or shipments; pick material from inventory, pack as necessary, and arrange for shipping.
• Operate handling equipment for moving and storing heavy items such as reels of hose.
• Make hose assemblies by cutting hose to length and assembling required fittings to exact quality standards.
• Provide leads to outside sales for new customers, major projects, or new product applications.
• Support outside sales by providing quotations and other customer services; travel with outside sales to enhance opportunities or resolve concerns.
• Distribute correspondence such as price lists, catalogs, and new product information from Parker Hannifin Fluid Power/Fluid Connector Groups.
• Travel to other Hope Group facilities in New England for company events, training, orientation, or coverage for labor shortages; reimbursement provided per Travel Reimbursement Policy.
• Support The Hope Group Business Management System (BMS) procedures and work instructions; contribute to continual improvement.
• Perform other similar or related duties as instructed or as position responsibilities necessitate.
