About the role
The Retail Branch Manager I position at Woodforest National Bank is responsible for driving sales, fostering customer relationships, and managing a team. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales and/or customer service experience, or a combination of a bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services.
- Create a positive and energetic environment for achieving retail objectives and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, retain, and motivate staff to meet profitability, sales, customer experience, compliance, and growth objectives.
- Grow business deposits and loans through both inside and outside business calling.
- Enhance customer experience and reputation by greeting, engaging, and developing relationships with retail partners and customers.
- Lead and execute a community engagement strategy with a Community Development Relationship Manager.
- Inspire and lead team members to reach their full potential.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Proactive in seeking business outside the branch.
- Goal-oriented, disciplined, and a strong team leader with excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
- Open to direct coaching and feedback.
- Flexible to work flexible or extended hours as needed.
- Passionate about taking care of people with effective problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
- Knowledgeable about products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Confident in maintaining confidentiality and following policies and procedures.
- Organized, able to prioritize tasks, and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with financial statements and credit reports.
Requirements
- Positive and engaging personality.
- Previous in-store banking experience preferred but not required.
