About the Role
This position is to originate as a producing manager with 2+ years in sales while managing the daily loan flow of the branch. You will work with the division manager to maintain or increase the productivity and profitability of PRMI.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and sales leads by cultivating relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other industry professionals.
- Develop a solid knowledge of PRMI products and offer the best mortgage products to match client needs.
- Review application information and request required support documentation based on loan investor guidelines.
- Correspond, communicate, and coordinate with applicants, in-house support staff, and outside service providers to facilitate timely closings.
- Carry out major assignments affecting business operations of the employer or the employer’s customers.
- Perform the following tasks if the retail branch manager is a loan originator:
- Collect and analyze information regarding the customer’s income, assets, investments, or debts.
- Analyze applicant data, credit, and collateral property value.
- Determine which financial products best meet the customer’s needs and financial circumstances.
- Provide advice to the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of available financial products.
- Market, service, or promote the employer’s financial products.
- Remain current on local developments and trends within the real estate and mortgage industries.
- Improve the quality of production and sales.
- Ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
- Analyze departments on a daily basis to ensure loan flow and production are completed within required turn times.
- Maintain employee folders.
- Oversee how questions or complaints are handled within the branch.
- Place ads in the paper or online when needed.
- Train loan officers.
- Manage leads and ensure employees are following up with clients.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of mortgage-related experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of management experience.
- Experience using Encompass.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with little or no supervision.
- Must be a team player and know how to help boost morale.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assist in addressing employee concerns.
- Track employees' time off.
Work Requirements
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, and maintain a work schedule.
- Must effectively perform in an office setting.
- To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, physical attendance in a defined office space (branch or corporate office) may be required.
- Compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations, as well as PRMI policies.
- Ability to work extended hours may be required.
