Retail Analytics Manager - Grocery
Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry’s Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We’re building a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to “Create Things People Like More.” Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it’s not, we don’t do it. This guides everything from product development to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work and exploring innovative ways to give back to our community. We got our start in 2013 with Harry’s, built online-first with direct customer relationships, and have since grown into the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. We maintain a small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture while donating over $20 million through our nonprofit partners.
About The Team
The Centralized Insights & Analytics (CIA) team at Mammoth Brands works cross-functionally to understand our performance within retail, digital, and marketing investments. The team provides objective reporting and guidance for the Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, and Mando brands, driving impact through marketing optimization, channel strategy, site optimization, selling stories, thought leadership, innovation, and consumer/shopper experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary customer and internal analytic support for our Retail business and personal care categories, including category, market, shopper, and assortment performance analysis.
- Serve as a Retail/CPG leader and data expert to peers, cross-functional, and external partners, developing the analytics and insights roadmap to support channel strategy and ad-hoc retail reporting.
- Lead and mentor the team, building sustainability and efficiencies through processes, tools, and best practices while scaling opportunities across channels.
- Be the subject matter expert on channel-specific data platforms, extracting maximum value through deep analysis, storytelling, and thought leadership with merchant and internal Brand teams.
- Act as the sales managers' most collaborative and strategic thought partner, ensuring every interaction strengthens decisions and tactics through Retail Analytics input.
- Serve as an “always-on storyteller,” interpreting data, identifying the “so what” and “why,” influencing data-driven presentations, diagnosing P&L impact, and coaching others.
- Independently drive strategic projects to unlock new revenue opportunities by analyzing category, competitive dynamics, shopper demographics, and purchase behavior.
- Create and maintain best-in-class cross-functional relationships through proactive communication and project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years in an analytical and strategic data-driven role. CPG and/or Retail experience is a plus.
- Experience with syndicated data (Circana/IRI/Nielsen) is required; grocery data experience (e.g., dunnhumby, 84.51) is a bonus.
- Passion for working with data and synthesizing complex information from various sources.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Takes ownership and desires to be seen as an analytics leader and problem solver, not just a report generator.
- Insatiably curious, always learning, and seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the broader organization.
- Professional, enthusiastic, and collaborative teammate with a passion for results.
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Business Suite (Docs, PowerPoint, Excel).
