Retail Ambassador

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. Our facilities handle a mix of product types, including fresh, frozen, grocery, and health and beauty care items. The team supports the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands: Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.

About the role

As a retail ambassador, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our Supply Chain Campuses and the Retail locations they support. You will engage in day-to-day operational interaction, schedule ongoing meetings, and identify areas for education and procedural improvements.

Responsibilities

• Communication (Daily)
  • Function as the point person to receive calls and communications from retail partners.
  • Forward concerns promptly to appropriate operational areas or subject matter experts.
  • Communicate variances or information that may impact store operations to retail leadership.
  • Proactively solicit feedback from retail leadership on service levels, store requests, or areas of concern.
• Connection (Weekly)
  • Report trends and consistent areas of concern to campus leaders to improve relationships and performance.
  • Schedule regular meetings for all levels of leadership to interact with retail partners.
  • Arrange store visits for the campus leadership team.
• Education
  • Schedule and create educational opportunities based on feedback to advance cross-functional understanding.
  • Engage subject matter experts to conduct training sessions.
  • Organize retail visits to local campuses for team building and classroom-based education.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in Distribution, Transportation, or Retail.
• Working knowledge of Distribution, Transportation, and/or Retail operations.
• Basic computer and clerical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in Distribution, Transportation, or Retail.
• 1 year of clerical or specialist position experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), time management, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, follow-through, and customer service focus.
• Basic problem-solving, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in phone and email communication.
• Ability to analyze information and align associates with department and business goals.
• Knowledge of company standard practices.
• Flexibility to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership within the company.
