Retail Associate

About the role

Assists customers by helping them select products. Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales through engagement of customers
• Greets and receives customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner
• Works with fellow co-workers and management to keep retail space clean and always organized
• Maintains product on sales floor and fills backstock throughout assigned shift
• Operates a point-of-sale register and accepts credit cards, cash, comps, or other forms of payment for retail items
• Verifies identity of customers when using comps as a form of payment for retail items
• Consistently delivers positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
• Performs any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One year of retail or customer service experience preferred
• High school diploma
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities
• Attention to detail, ensuring accurate order-taking and payment processing
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating transactions
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
