Restorative Nursing Aide - Full Time

Role And Responsibilities

• Serve as a restorative nursing aide supporting residents during day shifts in long-term care.
• Assist with mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises, integrating them into therapeutic activities.
• Use adaptive equipment, implement fall prevention strategies, and apply proper turning, positioning, and repositioning techniques.
• Support programs aimed at improving residents' quality of life, independence, and daily functioning.
• Perform dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and eating/swallowing assistance.
• Handle linens and supplies per regulations, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Accurately document care, monitor resident progress, and report changes in condition promptly.
• Follow age-appropriate care plans, infection prevention policies, and use of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications And Skills

• Must be CNA certified with a high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16, with prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred.
• Completion of CNA training, including specialized restorative care procedures, as required by state.
• Maintain yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
• Possibility of requiring a valid driver's license and medical clearance for driving responsibilities.
• Providing resident-centered nursing care, supporting independence, ensuring safety, and adhering to regulatory standards to enhance residents' well-being.
